SK-MED SK-8000 ROP Camera
SK-8000 Series Wide Field Fundus Imaging System
The SK-MED (Sunkingdom Medical) SK-8000 Wide Field Fundus Imaging System is designed specifically as a portable device for Retinopathy of Prematurity (ROP) screening. Ultra-lightweight, compact probe combined with an industry-leading wide angle of view
Industry-Leading Portability & Patient Comfort
- The Lightest Probe Available: Weighing roughly 500 to 527 grams, the handheld camera is exceptionally easy to maneuver. It allows doctors or neonatal nurses to operate the device seamlessly with just one hand.
- Smallest Lens Diameter: The objective lens diameter is only 8.1 mm. This remarkably small footprint provides an easier, highly comfortable contact viewing experience for tiny, premature infants.
- Highly Mobile Design: The system requires no massive intermediate console. It plugs directly into a laptop via USB 3.0, allowing medical staff to easily pack it into a suitcase or transport it between screening rooms, NICUs, and operating theaters.
Advanced Imaging Capabilities
- Ultra-Wide Field of View: The lens delivers a sweeping 133° to 144° wide-angle view of the fundus in a single shot. This massive viewing area is critical for observing the ora serrata (the peripheral edge of the retina) and accurately identifying intricate plus disease cases.
- Built-in Fluorescein Angiography (FFA Optional on B model): Features a unique, built-in dual light source system (White LED and Angiography Blue LED). Doctors can switch between standard color retinal photography and angiography modes in just 5 seconds with a single click on the screen—requiring zero hardware or lens modifications.
- High-Resolution Sensor: Equipped with a medical-grade professional CMOS sensor yielding up to 10-megapixel resolution, it records incredibly crisp, high-definition still images and video tracking of the retina.
Operational Workflow Efficiency
- Flexible Control Options: Medical professionals can capture images using either software controls or an integrated foot pedal switch, keeping their hands stable during sensitive infant exams.
- Stepless Dimming: The built-in integrated optical fiber system features smooth, seamless brightness adjustment to prevent overexposing or stressing a newborn’s eyes.
- Broad Patient and Clinic Range: While optimized for ROP screening in premature babies, its advanced optics make it completely viable for examining older children, adults, and even veterinary animal fundus inspection
